Prior to founding Capital Bancorp, he worked at Continental Merchant Bank Limited (formerly Chase Merchant Bank) from 1979 to 1988, eventually resigning as Deputy General Manager. Throughout his career, Mr. Mobolurin has sat on the boards of several blue-chip companies. He has served as Chairman of First City Monument Bank (FCMB) Plc, Chairman of NASD Limited (an OTC Trading Platform), and Chairman of Crusader-Sterling Pensions Limited. He also previously held the dual role of Vice Chairman and Managing Director at Crusader Nigeria Plc. In addition to his corporate leadership, he has held numerous key industry roles. He served as the President and Chairman of the Council of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS) from 2001 to 2003 and was a Council Member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
