How Nigerians can exploit China’s $22tn market –Chinese director
The Director, Centre for China Studies, Mr Charles Onunaiju, has said that Nigerians could exploit the huge economic opportunities in the $22tn Chinese market if the Federal Government implements certain policy and infrastructure development programmes in the country. He noted that the Belt and Road Framework of international cooperation between Nigeria and China offered very tangibly the critical requirement Nigeria needs to optimize its economy of scale by addressing the infrastructure deficit. Court dismisses case against CBN’s directives on bank charges
The Central Bank of Nigeria on Tuesday, said the Federal High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital, dismissed a suit instituted by a legal practitioner, Olumide Babalola, challenging the CBN policy on current account maintenance fee contained in the guide to the charges by banks and other financial institutions of January 2020. It disclosed this in a statement titled, ‘Court dismisses case against CBN’s directives on bank charges’. Read more
Lagos govt shuts Yaba overpass for two weeks
The Lagos State Government has announced temporary closure of Yaba overpass for two weeks, beginning from February 9 till February 23. According to a statement signed by the Commissioner for Transportation, Dr Frederic Oladeinde on Tuesday, the lane closure was necessary to commence soil testing along Muritala Mohammed Way, Ojuelegba Road (Tejuosho) as part of the traffic management plan to actualise the Lagos Rail Mass Transit Red line phase 1, Oyingbo to Agbado.
