Mr. Akinsola Ale is a Non-Executive Director at Capital Bancorp Plc, bringing over 30 years of extensive experience from within and outside the insurance industry. His professional background includes more than 25 years in senior management positions, featuring five years spent as a Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer across diverse sectors such as integrated marketing communications, printing, and telecommunications infrastructure development.

In July 2020, he was appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria Reinsurance Corporation. Prior to this role, he served as the Executive Director of Technical Services at NICON Insurance Limited, where he also briefly acted as Managing Director and CEO, successfully steering the company toward sustainability and success.

Mr. Ale commenced his career as the pioneer Head of Marketing and Business Development at Sovereign Trust Insurance Company Ltd. (now Plc), where he developed effective market penetration strategies for the new entrant. He subsequently moved to Royal Exchange Assurance (Nigeria) Plc, serving as the Divisional Head of Marketing and Operations for eight years and playing a pivotal role in the organization’s turnaround and change management initiatives to achieve optimal performance.

Academically, Mr. Ale holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Insurance from the University of Lagos (1989). Professionally, he is an Associate of both the Chartered Insurance Institute of London (ACII, 1991) and the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN). His professional training, extensive management experience, and strong leadership and interpersonal skills serve as key assets in his role on the Board of Capital Bancorp Plc.
