Mr. Gbolahan Olojede is the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Capital Bancorp Plc, a position he assumed in August 2023. He brings over three decades of diverse experience to the executive management team, with a robust career spanning professional services, print media, commercial and investment banking, corporate banking, healthcare, oil and gas, telecommunications, and capital markets.

He began his career in 1993 at a professional firm of chartered accountants before expanding his footprint across several prominent organizations, including Trident Securities Limited, The Guardian Newspapers, Standard Trust Bank, UBA Plc, UBA Global Markets (now UBA Capital), Bank PHB, and Glo. Prior to his current appointment at Capital Bancorp, Mr. Olojede served as an Executive Director at DMA Advisory Services Limited. His extensive leadership portfolio also includes pivotal executive roles as the Group Chief Operating Officer at Swift Oil Limited and the Chief Financial Officer at JNC International Limited.

Academically, Mr. Olojede is an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas, United States. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1997. Beyond his professional endeavors, he is deeply passionate about civic education and remains an optimistic advocate for the prospects of a truly developed Nigeria.
